About the Institute
Programs
In 2026 the Institute is focusing on the history of the NASA JPL Computer Graphics Lab. Artifacts will be collected from around the country and stored in the Computer History Museum, where they will be catalogued. Movies and videos will be digitized. We will make a strong effort to recover files from magtapes.
Workshop
There are tentative plans to have an Institute sponsored conference in 2027. This will be a continuation of the NASA Virtual Iron Bird Workshop, which, despite its name, was actually about knowledge management. The conference will also be about knowledge management, but in a modern context with Venturi being an important element.
The conference will be held outside the USA.
